Top 10 Most Read Books in the World
The fact that the Bible takes first place doesn’t surprise me at all, but “Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung” taking second place is a little disconcerting. I genuinely hope that his practice of injecting ground deer antlers to cure impotency and his belief that having an undescended testicle was normal WAS included in this book to distract us from peasant deaths and flaming scholar massacres.
Besides that, Harry Potter and Gone with the Wind both made the cut and restored my faith in humanity
(I’m deliberately ignoring The Twilight Saga because I just don’t have the energy for that kind of thing.)
